New Moon has set a record in a single night with box office receipts of US$26.27 million
“The Twilight Saga's New moon” just dominated these other opening day records as well, such as "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" ($22 million); "The Dark Knight" ($18.5 million); "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" ($16.9 million); and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" ($16 million).
